So I recently came back on a trip in Europe and I came across this… UBuntu Cola. Ubuntu Cola is a soft drink certified by The Fairtrade Foundation. The what??? The Fairtrade Foundation is a charity based in the United Kingdom that works to empower disadvantaged producers in developing countries by tackling injustice in conventional trade.

The Cola is made with Fairtrade sugar from Malawi and Zambia, Ubuntu Cola is the first UK cola to be Fairtrade certified. It is available for sale in the United Kingdom, Sweden, Norway, Ireland, Belgium, France, Italy,Switzerland, and online.

Research commissioned by The Ubuntu Trading Company showed that consumers have been waiting for a brand like Ubuntu…

We think its a pretty cool initiative. What are your thoughts? Local farmers are always getting screwed by big overseas retail stores, its nice to see someone doing something about it…
