OH EM GEEEEESSS!! LMAO!! SERIOUSLY??? another vampire movie?? . Im not tryna hate- at all! as a film student I wholeheartedly support the production of local films!!
But, im not liking this whole “following the American trend” idea. The vampire thing has been overdone! I heart that the film’s in Afrikaans- very interesting, that part makes it more authentic.
I like that South African filmmakers are trying to take leaps into the international arena, but I think we should try and stick to topics that are relevant to us … for now!! e.g. films like Tsotsi and Yesterday. There is NOWAY we can compete with Americans at sumthin they gave birth to.
Its like Robin Thicke tryna be more black than Chris Brown! Or imagine us trying to do a remake of the matrix??!! huh huh_ REALLY?? NO
The graphics are really good, from the little that i saw. great film editing, effective use of framing, shots and manipulation of speed effects! #NYC
hmmmmm.. could be sumthing big* who knows!!
